The picture on the left is the outer surface; on the right is the "root".
The bright dot near the center of the picture on the left is a reflection off a
raised bump. Drum fish jaws have teeth laid out like cobblestones, which they
use to grind their food. The teeth in the rear of the jaw are smaller and
sometimes have a small bump in the center. |

I am going to say it is a lemon shark (Negaprion brevirostris), but I am open to
criticism. |
