FS269 Bear Molar

5.0 cm. Long x 4.0 cm. Wide x 3.0 cm. High

Classification: Metazoa, Chordata, Mammalia, Carnivora, Ursidae, Ursus, sp.

Description: The size is right for a Pleistocene cave bear upper molar, but the cusps don't resemble the European cave bear molars in my (hemipristis's) collection. There is a giant bear still living in Kamchatka. Ursus arctos or even U. maritimus maybe.

Age: Pleistocene Epoch
